Privacy Policy

My Tanker (“we”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we store and process it, and your rights.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data — name, mobile number, email, civil ID (for B2B), and preferred language.
  • Order data — delivery address, capacity and water type selected, payment method, and order history.
  • Location data — your delivery pin and, in the customer app, the live tanker location during active orders.
  • Driver data — civil ID, driving license, vehicle registration, tanker fitness, MEW permit, and proof-of-delivery photos.
  • Device and analytics — device type, OS, app version, crash reports, and usage events for product improvement.

2. How we use it

  • To dispatch your order to the right driver and truck.
  • To process payments through licensed gateways.
  • To verify drivers and trucks, and to enforce document expiry.
  • To support you when you contact us.
  • To improve the Service and prevent fraud.

3. Payments

Card and KNET payments are processed by licensed payment service providers (KNET and MyFatoorah). My Tanker does not store full card numbers — payment processing is PCI-DSS compliant via the licensed gateway.

4. Where we store data

Data is hosted in the GCC region (AWS me-south-1, Bahrain) with multi-AZ replication. Backups are taken hourly (database) and daily (full system).

5. Sharing

We share the minimum data required with: payment gateways (transaction details), SMS providers (mobile number for OTP), map providers (geocoded addresses), and the assigned driver (your name, phone, and pin during the active order). We do not sell personal data.

6. Retention

Order and financial records are retained as required by Kuwait commercial law. Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure for audit and dispute resolution.

7. Your rights

  • Access — request a copy of your data.
  • Correction — fix inaccuracies in your account.
  • Deletion — request closure of your account; some records (financial, legal) are retained per law.
  • Portability — receive your order history in a machine-readable format.

8. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses essential cookies for site functionality and a privacy-friendly analytics tool (Plausible) that does not use third-party cookies.
